Agents in the app

Start Claude Code and Codex agents, steer them, answer what they ask, and keep several at work at once.

An agent is Claude Code or Codex at work in one worktree of a project. Its page holds the conversation on top and the composer you write in underneath.

Agents run on your own Claude Code or Codex sign-in. If an agent asks you to sign in, do it from Settings, Connectors, which signs you in to Claude Code and Codex and connects your clouds and machines.

Start one

Click New agent at the top of the sidebar, on a project’s home, or on the + at the end of the tabs. Ctrl+N does the same.

The new agent’s page has two chips:

  • Which agent: Claude Code or Codex. Settings says which comes first. Ctrl+; changes it.
  • Where it starts: This checkout, or A new worktree of its own, so it works on its own branch without touching your files. Ctrl+. changes it.

Write what you want and press Enter.

Write to it

In the composer Does
Enter Sends, and you stay on this agent
Alt+Enter Sends, then opens the next agent that is waiting for you or is done
Shift+Enter A new line
@ Names a file, a part of the map or another agent
/ at the start of a line Lists the agent’s own commands
+ Attaches a file, a picture or a part of the map
Alt+X, or the microphone Voice typing: hold, speak, let go

Settings, under Agents, swaps Enter and Alt+Enter if you would rather Enter moved you on to the next agent.

Ctrl+L asks an agent about what you have selected, and Ctrl+Shift+L adds the selection to the prompt you are writing. Alt+P picks the agent’s model and effort.

While an agent works and the composer is empty, Send becomes Stop, which ends its turn. A message you send while it works waits under the conversation for its turn.

Answer it

The sidebar is a to-do list: every agent, grouped by what it needs from you. A question or a permission request is answered right on its row, with Allow, Always, Deny or Answer.

  • F8 jumps to the next request for you, and Shift+F8 to the one before.
  • Ctrl+Enter on a finished agent with nothing written archives it and opens the next, so you can work through them like an inbox.
  • Ctrl+M snoozes an agent for half an hour, or for as long as Settings, Snooze for, says.
  • Ctrl+E switches to another agent by name.

With notifications on, as they are at first, the app also tells you when an agent needs you.

Its menu

Right-click an agent, on its page or its row, for its menu: ask about it, its terminal, its model and effort, pause, stop, restart, fork the conversation, open its worktree, land its work, pin it to the top, snooze it, or archive it.

Closing an agent’s tab does not stop the agent. Stop it from its menu.

Each agent’s badge

Every agent wears a coloured badge with its initial, the same everywhere: in the sidebar, on its tab, and on the map. A disc is Claude Code, a square is Codex, and a ring is any other kind.

Terminals

Ctrl+** opens the agent's terminal, and goes back to its page if you are already there. **Ctrl+Shift+ opens a new terminal of your own. A program in a terminal gets every Ctrl key you press.

Settings, Open agents as, can open agents in their terminal by default: the agent’s own command line screen, as it runs.

Several at once

Give each agent a worktree of its own, and they can all work at once without touching each other’s files. When one is done, Land the agent’s work in its menu brings its worktree’s changes home. Review changes first shows you what it did.
