Command line

gr daemon

Inspect and control the machine-wide daemon

From the help of gr 0.2.16. gr help daemon prints it in full.

One daemon process serves every Graphide workspace on this machine.

gr daemon [command]

gr daemon jobs

List the scheduler's running and queued jobs and its last 50 runs

The daemon runs everything through one scheduler: syncs, feed consumers, cloud passes, whole-graph rebuilds. This lists what it is running or holding right now and why each queued job waits, then the last 50 finished runs with their class, workspace, how long they waited and ran, and what they cost.

gr daemon jobs [flags]

gr daemon list

List the workspaces the daemon currently holds open

gr daemon list [flags]

gr daemon restart

Replace the machine's daemon with a fresh one once what is running finishes

gr daemon restart [flags]
FlagWhat it does
--timeout durationhow long to wait for the running daemon to exit (default 1m0s)

gr daemon start

Start the machine's daemon, also after Graphide was stopped

gr daemon start [flags]

gr daemon status

Report whether the machine's daemon is running

gr daemon status [flags]

gr daemon stop

Close a workspace, or stop the whole daemon with --all

gr daemon stop [flags]
FlagWhat it does
--allstop the whole daemon, not one workspace
--end-agentswith --all, end the agents its terminals run too (by default they keep running and the next daemon adopts them)
--forceclose the workspace even while work is running
--root stringthe workspace to close (default: this project)
--timeout durationwith --all, how long to wait for the daemon to exit (0: return once it has agreed to stop) (default 1m0s)

Every command also takes --root <folder>, the project to act on. Without it, gr uses the git repository you are in, or else the current folder.
